Course Description

The course will encourage participants to experiment with scale and process, to produce work that can feed in to other projects or produce a range of samples.

Students can experiment with:

• Hand dyeing, resist methods
• Heat press and heat setting techniques
• Stitch, embellishing and fabric manipulation
• Silk screen work may be possible depending on experience

Exploring and combining processes to create interesting and varied surfaces which can stand alone or be worked for a specific project. There will be demonstrations and practical workshops which form the basis of the course.

For students with some knowledge wishing to expand their skill base. Beginners are also welcome.
