This course is suitable for experienced paramedics and deals with Patient Assessment and Management. The course can be taken as a ‘stand-alone’ course or used towards a postgraduate qualification.
Safely assess patients in a community, primary care, pre hospital and acute care settings differentiating between those patients that can be treated at the point of contact from those that may need to be referred.
Utilize appropriate technology and near patient testing procedures to inform diagnostic and referral decisions. Demonstrate accurate documentation of clinical findings and communicate them effectively to patients and members of the multi-disciplinary health care teams.
